Australian champions Brodie Connolly and Charli Cannon are in line to secure full-time Quad Lock Honda deals in the US for 2026, team principal Martin Davalos hinted following the weekend’s Unadilla National.

Kiwi sensation Connolly has made his intentions clear in wanting to pursue a career in America next year, off the back of consecutive ProMX MX2 titles and with the intent to graduate from Yarrive Konsky’s Australian-based factory Honda Racing operation.

It’s understood that the highly-rated New Zealander has already inked a deal that will see him arrive in SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) competition next season, but the team – also led by Australian-based team owner Konsky – has yet to formally announce an agreement.

Already contesting the entire six-round WMX series in addition to her Australian exploits, which saw her clinch a fourth national title in a row at home, Cannon has established herself as one of the primary contenders in the revitalised US championship and currently sits second in the 2025 standings with one round remaining.

“It would be incredible to see these riders based in America full-time to show what they can really do, but I will enjoy these three races with them, and maybe next year Charli and Brodie can join us full-time,” Davalos commented.

As part of a three-race cameo in the 250MX category of Pro Motocross, brutal temperatures had an impact on Connolly’s Ironman results, however, the 21-year-old ran as high as P6 for the first half of the opening moto at Unadilla – eventually carding 16-21 scores for 20th overall.

Cannon, meanwhile, broke through for her first moto win in America the the Unadilla National on Friday, continuing to gain strength after a broken finger largely affected her results in the opening half of the season. It’s unclear if she will continue in Australia next year alongside any international opportunities.

“We’re continuing to adapt Brodie’s setup to the faster, more open US tracks,” added Davalos. “You don’t luck into fast sector times, so the speed is there. And Charli’s first race win shows her potential.”
