The balance of wildcards set to compete at the upcoming MXGP of Australia has been revealed by Motorcycling Australia (MA), with Nathan Crawford (MXGP) and Seth Burchell (MX2) leading the charge.

Following the announcement of a 15-rider strong first wave of wildcards last month, anticipation grew as at least a further 15 were expected, however, the final list is comprised of 10 additional riders – including three in MXGP, one in MX2, and six in WMX.

Current national MX1 number two Nathan Crawford (KTM Racing Team) will be joined by the impressive privateer duo of Zac Watson and Levi Rogers. In MX2, teenager Seth Burchell will join the mix of world-calibre international racers.

A sizeable blow to the event is that the domestic champions will be absent, with Kyle Webster instead expected to be preparing for the upcoming Motocross of Nations (MXoN) in October, while Honda Racing teammate Brodie Connolly is understood to be focusing on the AUSX Supercross Championship.

In the WMX division, ProMX regulars Taylor Thompson, Sienna Guidice, Madison Healey, Samantha Macarthur, Felicity Shrimpton, and Mia Tongue will add to the five riders previously announced.

Reigning four-time MXW champion Charli Cannon is understood to have lodged a wildcard application, but has yet to formally commit to lining up come September 19-21 in the final round of the world championship.
